The Ender Nursery – Minecraft End Update Concept
Dear Mojang,
I’d love to share an idea for a future End update that builds on the mystery and magic of the End.
After defeating the Ender Dragon and reaching the End City, players could discover a hidden structure called the End Nursery. This would introduce a brand new mob: Baby Endermen, also known as Ender Children. Inside the nursery, players would find items you'd expect from a preschool—building blocks, cots, toys—crafted from overworld woods like oak. This could hint at deeper lore, supporting the theory that Endermen are evolved ancient builders.
Protecting the nursery are new mobs called Ender Daycare Attendants. They resemble standard Endermen, but wear pink leather chestplates and purple gloves. If a player gets too close to the Ender Children, these attendants give a warning rasp. If ignored, they deal the same amount of damage as a regular Enderman to protect the young.
If defeated, they drop a rare item: the Ender Rattle. When carried in your inventory, this rattle allows players to look Endermen in the eyes without provoking them—unless attacked first. Holding the rattle also unlocks a new achievement called “One of Us,” symbolizing the Endermen’s acceptance of the player.
This idea aims to add emotional depth, lore, and a new peaceful path of exploration to the End dimension.
