Multi-player screen

When my kids play multi-player it only splits the screen horizontally, but outer TV is 80 inches and it looks weird. It would be much better with option to split the screen horizontally and vertically. Please please please. I don't know if it matters, but they play on the Xbox 1 and on the Nintendo switch.
