Add option to change fog back to the version before 1.21.6

This would just undo the new fog in 1.21.6 if enabled

    I think the fog should just be less de-saturated. A blue haze is more appealing than grey and white. I'd say amplify it even more sunrise/sunset to get a nice orange hue, because it looks warm and inviting.

    I barely have to be at a distance and the colours on my buildings look washed out. The rain fog is also awful on my eyes :(

    ruins the vibrancy of the game, the eye strain from the muted colours gives me migraines so i can't play very long especially if it rains in game.

    an option to disable it would be great

    Genuinely it is so hideous I can't play the new update. This ruins ALL my builds. Mojang are the most incompetent devs I've ever seen but this is honestly the worst thing they've done. I don't get how multiple people signed off on making a game about creativity and art and expression so much uglier for no reason. This is just cartoonishly bad design

    I miss the old version before then fog update. All of my build that I have spent hundreds of hours on looked off now. Not to mention I can't see my entire builds. Since the update I've only been on for an hour or so trying to make myself love it again... But it just looks so crappy with the fog and off colors. If I wanted my game to look like this I could have gotten a mod. Please bring our game back, now whatever is going on.

    I think mojang is always very proud of there updates, so just making a option for players to just simply remove the whole thing makes a update not more like a update.

    I have played so much minecraft, but I pretty much had to mod my game to get fog off because it bothers my eyes and it makes it way too hard for me to see anything. whenever it rains I have to log off or go afk to make it pass because it's unbearable

    The 1.21.6 fog looks terrible, like if I was living in a big smoked city. You can't see anything further than 10 blocks away. Please, at least add an option to disable it or I (and a lot of other players as well) will have to stay on 1.21.5 forever.

    If it's true, we need something to deactivate the fog. Sometimes I feel suffocated in the mines and it's as if there were a fire; it's annoying sometimes.

    I've found that it decreases FPS a lot too, on one of my worlds which is fairly large in terms of storage, went from 144 FPS to sub 60 FPS, FPS boosting mods don't help much either, I found this one called No Fog but it isn't the same as before 1.21.6.

    When i began this game you could build cities and see and enjoy what you had accomplished now you cant see your whole house. In no way has it gotten better. I used to have the large realm and the kids and i would build projects all the time. Its all wasted now. And i no longer pay for a realm because its pointless if you cant actually see whats been built. Guess it saves me money. I would like to see the old way where you could see everything and enjoy the views.

    I’ve tried to be patient, but it’s time to be clear:
    The new fog effect introduced in 1.21.6 hurts the experience and hurts our eyes and the worst part is that it’s not optional.

    Since this update, everything in the distance looks gray, washed out, and blurred. Flying around now feels like being stuck in a chlorine-filled indoor pool. It’s uncomfortable to look at and genuinely causes eye strain, especially after long play sessions.
    When playing for hours, this forces us to focus much harder than before, which is exhausting and unhealthy. In dark oak forests during thunderstorms, it gets so bad that you can barely see anything.

    This is more than a visual preference it’s a comfort and accessibility issue. Not everyone can or wants to install mods just to remove something that could easily be a setting.

    Minecraft has always been about player freedom and choice. So why are we being forced into a single visual style with no way to adjust it? There are already hundreds of votes on this feedback thread, and plenty of players (including myself) are staying on 1.21.5 just to avoid this fog.

    Yo, anyone still keeping up with this post - Vanilla Tweaks (vanillatweaks.net) now has a datapack for this (Datapacks -> Retro -> Classic Fog)
    It's free and very simple to use (they also have a step-by-step installation guide) (it's like 5 extremely simple steps)
