Add option to change fog back to the version before 1.21.6

This would just undo the new fog in 1.21.6 if enabled

    the new fog makes it feel like i just woke up after forgetting my contacts in overnight. constantly having to squint. i want to be able to change it back. so do my friends. this is my first time using the feedback site because i dislike it so strongly.

    I am heartsick that the intense shadows and beautiful colors of vistas in Minecraft are gone. I am stunned that you did this. Gameplay isn't enough for me; I had no idea how enamored I was with the beauty of Minecraft which is now gone. In rain or snow you can't find anything. Please, please restore the version before 1.21.6 or give us the option to adjust it back. The sky is better at sunset but the landscape is now sad.

    this new update is making the rendering times slower, I want to be able to see structures in the 60-70 chunks distance as I used to, the colors are too bright, please add an option to disable the fog, and bring back the rendering distance that we used to have in bedrock pc.

    every single aspect of minecraft is so easily customizable why is there no way to change this thing that makes such a huge difference to how the game looks

    I get the idea behind the new fog but why is it so close? Natural atmospheric greyness IRL is only really perceptible when you're looking at distant mountains (like, many many kilometers away distant), but the 1.21.6 fog looks like it kicks in at around 40-50 blocks, which is basically right in front of your face - every single one of my builds looks weirdly washed out and it's very unpleasant

    Straight up, I really dislike the washed out look of this recent June update. I want to go back to the previous version to pick up where I left off in my Creative world.

    I actually reverted back to 1.21.5, and probably will stay on that version until they have a solution for this in vanilla minecraft.

    This new fog in Java edition is rushed and should have  been tested more, and more importantly, there should be a slider for it to change gradually.

    In addition it also acts as a light leak. Inside my dark build which used to be pitch black is now glowing during the day and only dark at the peak hours of the night.

    Please add an option to remove the fog. Everything looks so grey and and awful with it on.

    I have an anxiety disorder and fog is a massive trigger for me. There should be an accessibility feature to turn this on or off.

    Especially when using elytra, even just a little ways off of the ground. Makes things look absolutely horrible and smoky. Cataracts simulator 2025 fr.

    Hello,
    Yes, indeed, it would be great to be able to disable it or redo it. Or make it a full-fledged weather forecast!
    I just feel like they washed out the game. It’s not beautiful at all, as if there was constantly a filter...

    they dont need to remove the fog. its lovely. however, they need to add an option in settings similar to what simple fog control mod allows you to do. theyve changed the frequency of updates to be so high that modders cant even keep their mods updated. simple settings like this should be native to the game and not require a mod.

    This is a change that helps literally no one and makes the entire game look and feel worse and empty. I don't need nor want fog of war in my minecraft. Please let us turn it off.

    The new fog makes the game look dull and lifeless. Minecraft used to look so vibrant and now its as if I'm walking through a smoke screen. If you're going to push fog on the players in the game, at least give us the option to turn it off.

    it genuinely looks so bad. minecraft is supposed to be vibrant and fun but now it just looks like a mix of smog and fire smoke is clouding my view

    I have vision problems, the new fog cause me some stress and it's a generally bad experience. Not to mention that they take all the color out of the whole world, as if it had a strange filter.

    I have to just afk while the fog is happening because it hurts my eyes so badly, I'll eventually get a headache. I don't know anyone that likes this added fog. We at the very least need a slider to go from full to zero fog, or the best option, just remove it. I doubt a single person would complain.
    Adding this at the same time as announcing vibrant visuals for bedrock was kinda wild. Please stop trying to push java users to the subpar bedrock version.

    The new fog looks terrible, reminds me of the first versions of Xbox 360 edition. Please change it back or add the option to.

    How is there still not an option to turn it off? I haven't been able to play since I first noticed the fog. I wish I could enjoy the new updates but its impossible with that dull eyesore. Ruins the game. Rip my Minecraft use. 2013-2025 </3

    Honestly, there should never have been a discussion about this. why isn't there a setting for this? why? Mojang please fix, you lot are adding a bunch of new accessibility settings practically each update so this one should be a no-brainer.
