I think Minecraft could really benefit from a blueprint/ghost structure system, similar to what games like The Forest or Valheim use. Players would be able to place a transparent version of a build in the world to preview and plan it, then build over it using real materials.
This would be especially useful in survival mode — helping avoid block misplacement and wasted resources, while still keeping Minecraft’s hands-on, block-by-block feel.
You’d use a Blueprint Table or Book to choose from preset builds (like houses or towers), or save and reuse your own. A ghost version appears where you want it, and you build over it block by block, turning it into the real structure.
Optional features:
Save your own builds as blueprints.
Find or trade rare blueprints from villagers or chests.
Get a list of required materials.
Support for multiplayer blueprint building.
This idea would make building easier and more creative, especially for new or survival players. It wouldn’t change the open-ended nature of Minecraft — just give players the option to plan better and build more confidently.
