Blood Moon and new mob

We need more ways of enticing people to want to spend the night awake. Usually I just sleep it away to avoid the headache of mobs because that's all it is, is just mobs with nothing else to do. So why not bring in some type of event that can randomly happen at night.....like a blood moon. I love minecraft but I think the game needs more challenges. A blood moon happening can be along the lines of spawning alot more mobs at night, and not just the usual mobs. Ravages, phantoms, witch's, etc. You also can't sleep it away. You have to survive the night. But this new event could pave the way for a new mob as well. Wouldn't it be cool to take the wolf's we know and love, and have it where if a blood moon happens there's a small chance a werewolf could spawn (or just make an entirely new mob)? It could be something like a new mini boss that can have its own unique drop and that could bring a newfound liking or challenge to the night time. Just a thought...
