I'm a dedicated creator working with Minecraft Bedrock Edition's scripting and add-on system. I’d like to suggest the addition of more flexible support for custom dimensions and custom furnace behavior in future updates of the Bedrock Creator Features.
It would greatly enhance the modding and add-on experience if creators could:
-
Define custom dimensions similar to the Nether or End.
-
Inherit or configure sky renderers, fog, and ambient colors from existing dimensions.
-
Allow dimension transitions using custom portals, ideally with control over generation and effects.
Even the ability to reuse vanilla sky renderers (like the End sky or Nether fog) and customize sky and fog colors would go a long way in enabling Aether-like or otherworldly environments.
It would also be incredibly useful to support:
-
Fully custom furnace-like blocks that can smelt, cook, or transform items.
-
Ability to define custom fuel types, burn time, and furnace GUIs through scripting or JSON.
-
Integration with vanilla smelting recipes or the ability to define new ones for custom blocks.
These features would allow for deeper, more immersive gameplay experiences — such as sky realms, space mods, alternate realities, or unique crafting systems — without relying on complex workarounds or performance-heavy scripting.
Thanks for the great tools you've already provided. The continued improvements to scripting and add-ons are appreciated by the entire creator community!
