Honestly this effect in the pale garden really bothers me, not because it makes the biome look spooky or anything, but because the sudden change in saturation to just about everything on screen gives a feeling that there's something wrong with the display.  Since that release I've tried to limit my time in that biome to get the unique resources and get out as quickly as possible.  These kinds of shifts look extremely unnatural and are horribly distracting.  Vibrant visuals takes it even further by doing it to basically every biome so the effect happens multiple times in different ways while exploring.

The water looks awesome in vibrant visuals, and the shadows are nice when in a biome that doesn't completely screw up the colors, but this issue is so severe and distracting that I've turned off vibrant visuals on all my devices that support it.
