Iβd love to suggest a new coral type for Minecraftβs warm oceans: Star Coral! This coral would be more than just beautiful β it would introduce useful survival mechanics, new crafting options, and glowing underwater scenery without being complicated to implement.
πͺΈ What is Star Coral?
Star Coral is a glowing, magical-looking coral block that can be found deep in warm oceans or rare glow-filled reef caves. It behaves similarly to other coral blocks but offers several unique features that make it valuable both for survival gameplay and creative builds.
It comes in:
β’ Star Coral Block (alive)
β’ Dead Star Coral Block
β’ Optional: Star Coral bush(basically an underwater firefly bush).
β‘οΈ Nightlight Effect
At night, Star Coral emits soft glowing particles underwater, similar to soul lanterns or end rods. It doesnβt light up the world, but adds gorgeous ambiance and makes coral reefs feel more alive.
βοΈRedstone Light Block:
When powered with Redstone, Star Coral emits a full light level of 15, working like a natural underwater Redstone lamp. Itβs great for players who want functional coral decorations in their underwater bases.
π οΈCrafting Uses:
When broken (without Silk Touch), Star Coral drops Star Coral Fragments, which can be used in a few recipes:
β’ β¨ Star Coral Dust: A fast-burning fuel that smelts 2 or 4 items per piece.
