Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Make Rails be able to go over air like Scaffolding

When building a minecart rail system over a gap, you have to build 2 rows of blocks. One for the blocks to support the rails and one for the minecart track itself. My idea is that you could extend rails over air for 6 blocks, just like scaffolding. That way it's much less tedious to create them, and allows some interesting build concepts with how much people could use floating rails for.
