I’ve been testing Minecraft Beta version 1.21.90.26 on my device (Nothing 2a, Android 15, Mali-G610 GPU) and tried out the new Visual Vibrancy feature. Here’s a detailed report of my experience:
Issue Observed:
When I enable Visual Vibrancy, the entire screen turns green, including blocks, UI, and lighting.
Even light sources like torches and the sun emit a greenish tint.
Despite the visual glitch, gameplay remains smooth, with no overheating or noticeable in-game lag.
However, trying to open settings while Visual Vibrancy is on causes heavy lag.
Performance Notes:
FPS drop: From 120 → 60 → 19–21 FPS after enabling the feature.
Thermals: No heating detected, even after long gameplay sessions with the feature enabled.
Vanilla gameplay (without Visual Vibrancy) maintains consistent performance (120–60 FPS).
Other Notes:
Some devices don’t even show the switch for Visual Vibrancy, while mine does — possibly due to device whitelisting.
I’ve noticed that only specific hardware setups allow the feature toggle to appear and be enabled.
Request:
Please look into Mali-G610 GPU compatibility with Visual Vibrancy.
Consider adding a manual override or toggle for advanced users in case the GPU is capable, but not fully optimized.
I’m happy to test further updates or provide more logs if needed.
