Physical Release for Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition (Legacy Console)

In Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition's lifespan, there were plans to release a retail version of this game. There was a retail version, but only for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition for Nintendo Switch. As of May 19, 2025, the only way to get Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition now is through modding (which will get your console bricked as of the new update Nintendo rolled out), or if you've already downloaded it in the past.

Even if it's for a limited time only, I, personally, would like it if a physical Release would be on the shelves of Walmart, GameStop, Target, etc. I find it absurd that every Legacy Console release has a physical media of some kind, but not for Nintendo Switch. This petition aims to bring a physical release of Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition onto store shelves.

  What da heck, took them soooo long, they said it would come later, clip to 58 weeks (Over a year!) still no physical release! And the very first day bugrock edition was introduced to the switch, it had a physical release!! That is just pure fuel to make me MAD!
