Hello Mojang team,
I would like to bring to your attention an important issue regarding mob spawning in the Nether on Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
Unlike the Java Edition, the spawning mechanics in Bedrock present many challenges when building secure structures in the Nether. For example:
-
Mobs can spawn on blocks like fences and walls, which is not the case in Java.
-
Light does not prevent mob spawning in the Nether, making it even harder to avoid unwanted spawns.
-
This greatly limits players’ creativity who want to build safe bases or corridors in the Nether without resorting to many awkward workarounds (carpets, slabs, trapdoors, etc.).
I understand that the two editions have different mechanics, but this behavior in Bedrock negatively impacts the gameplay experience and can be very frustrating for players.
Would it be possible to consider improvements to align the Nether spawning mechanics in Bedrock closer to those in Java? For instance, making light block mob spawns, or making certain blocks (fences, walls, buttons) non-spawnable.
Thank you very much for your work and for listening. I hope this suggestion can help improve the game for the entire Bedrock community.
Sincerely,
Mattyboy5272
