Beacon upgrades/new effects are not new ideas, but I think some of my takes are.
First off, each beacon material would have a new effect if the whole beacon is made out of a singular material. Range, and increased strength of the beacon would be determined by material used.
Copper would now be an applicable beacon base, but would have the shortest range and weakest effect limit. Beacons would be amplified with a Dragon Egg placed over the beacon beam, additionally, every time the dragon is defeated it always generates a new egg on the podium. This allows for multiple people to have upgraded beacons and to allow more upgraded beacons.
New effects: Eternal Peace: This buff is more of an area affect than stops all hostile mobs from spawning within the beacon range (Stronger beacons extend the range)
Full Netherite Beacon + Dragon egg effect: Saturation.
Curing: Removes harmful effects from players within the beacon radius.
End Crystal upgrade: This upgrade mimics the End Crystal healing the dragon When placed above a beacon it heals nearby players. Cooldown, Range, healing strength is dependent on beacon tier. Healing beam looks like the beacon beam.
A full netherite beacon with a dragon egg would be extend up to around 300 blocks, meanwhile diamond would be around 100 blocks, emerald being 75, gold being 60, and iron being 50, copper being 30. Note: this is for a full beacon, so the effects would be damped if not full for each tier. Range is diverse for mixed layers of material.
