Cut Red Sandstone Slabs are unusual

The Cut Red Sandstone Slabs are different from the Smooth Red Sandstone Slabs, but just slightly. The side texture and detail is slightly different, but the top is the same. I think they should add the line from the Cut Red Sandstone Block to the Cut Red Sandstone Slab texture or make a new texture for Cut Red Sandstone that is more unique than Smooth Red Sandstone. Why does Cut Red Sandstone have a slab variant and not a stair or wall variant?
