Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Land Protecters

A cool feature you could add the Minecraft would be protecters! Protecters would simply protect your land. The person who puts the protecter down would own the chunk it is placed in. Other players wouldn’t be able to change or affect the chunk they protected. It act as a way of protection from griefing and stealing. It would make it easier to play with other people because you don’t have to fully trust the person because as long as you have a protecter you can keep your base safe from grief. You could craft a protecter by having some diamonds and maybe some type of stone. Players should have a max amount of protectors they can have and that number could range from 3-5. I think this could be a wonderful update and many players like me would be very appreciative by protecters.

    If this were done with a command it would be really cool. I don't know that it would fit as a Survival mode block with cheats off. Since turning off mob griefing requires cheats, protecting an area from player griefing should as well.
