Why Add Pie? Don't We Already Have Cake?
While Minecraft is minimalist when it comes to food, I think Cherry Pie would be a good and meaningful addition. Cherry Pie would make Cherries filling for hunger, and would also become an interesting alternative block with the Cake mechanic of eating. Cherry Pie also gives the Cherry Grove a unique food item, and would make farming Cherry Trees for Cherries viable as a food source. I also think Cherry Pie would help map makers make tables feel more full.
Why Add Cherry Bombs?
Cherry Bombs, despite what the name suggests, are actually a type of firework in real life. In Minecraft, they would provide a really interesting use for Cherries and gives players more possibilities for combat and firework-making. Also, while Minecraft has TNT and Flame Charges, it does not have true bombs yet, a common feature of countless video games of all genres, even fantasy. Cherry Bombs allows players to have true bombs in Minecraft in an innocuous and friendlier way. Cherry Bombs also "buff" the Cherry Grove biome, a biome currently lacking in non-decorative items, incentivizing more players to seek it out.
Cherries
Cherries drop from Cherry Leaves. They can be eaten, or used in making a new placeable food, Cherry Pie, having only 4 slices and are eaten circularly. Pumpkin Pie is also changed to match. They can also be used to make explosive Cherry Bombs, tossable fireworks that are affected by gravity and can be placed.
