Why add Bloated?
I think adding a penalty to overeating would help make Hunger as a mechanic more interesting, and would also promote variety in what Players eat, and also open up room for new food items to be added down the line to interact with this new mechanic.
What is Bloated?
If a Player eats a food item that will add 2-3 hunger over their max hunger when full, they will gain the Bloated effect, which will prevent them from eating until their hunger drops down to 10/half (aka, are hungry again). If it will add more than 4 hunger, they will gain the Stuffed Effect, requiring hunger to drop down to 6 (when Players lose the ability to sprint)! These effects are detrimental as eating is necessary for natural regeneration.
However, if a Player eats a food item that will fill their hunger bar perfectly, they will gain the Satisfied Effect, boosting regeneration and rewarding the Player. Think before you chew!
