Smart/Switchable Glass

I would love to see something like smart/switchable glass in Minecraft! In real-life, smart glass is glass that looks frosted normally but when electric voltage is applied, becomes clear. A more minecraft-y name may be switch glass or phantom glass?

• looks frosted by default (either a completely opaque texture or a near-opaque stained glass)

• when redstone powered the texture changes to be very clear. Light levels are passed through in both states

• smart glass blocks that are placed together all switch together (or a radius depending on redstone signal strength?)

• a variant for each dye colour and possibly glass panes (maybe only matching coloured glass switch together?)

•  the crafting recipe could be stained glass surrounding an amethyst shard (or phantom membrane or redstone dust?)

I would love this in Minecraft for the same reasons they are used in real houses! Sometimes I want some privacy. Also, I sometimes want to look at my redstone/messier creations but its nice to hide them away too for a cleaner aesthetic. Or I want to unveil something to my friends. There is really no way to section off areas like this with redstone doors being too bulky most of the time (and too advanced for me).

I believe there are many creative uses for this block and would love to hear suggestions or use cases!
