Sniffer Rework

    I'd say that the idea itself is ok.
      Sniffers being able to find and dig up more ancient plants, BOTH small and tall, would give more incentive for players to try and get them. Obviously Ancient Rose and Ancient Cyan/Blue Rose need a mention ;)
      Gravel, snow and terracotta do sound a bit iffy, but different soils for different seed pools (even if the pools do overlap a bit with each other) could definitely work (even it I personally am indifferent to this idea)
      The bonemealing of ancient plants for duplication is also somewhat iffy, if you really want it, I'd make it a low chance, like 1/10th or 1/16th per bonemeal to duplicate it - as to not make it too easy and to show that the plants are so ancient that even their reproduction/duplication is somewhat broken.
      I'd go for the same chance with Sniffer breeding - either make it so the breeding attempt might end up dropping a sniffer egg, or results in nothing - also to not make the acquisition of many Sniffers to easy and to show that they're relics for many reasons - like the fact that it's hard for them to breed - AND to still leave ppl thinking about just searching for more Sniffer Eggs. Maybe make it a 1/5th, or 1/8th, or 1/12th?

    Sure, I would welcome relics from Minecraft's past versions to be added to the game :D It plays to the fantasy element of the game well.

    I see your point, but I think gravel, snow, and terracotta are a better fit than the stone/ore block derivatives. I want to list every soil-y type block from every biome throughout the world, although some are not in fact soil.

    The goal for my idea of a rework is higher accessibility to obtain dye. I disagree that introducing a random factor to the system would help. If we can make it less easy, I prefer that we change bonemealing ALL tall flowers to produce their own respective seeds (including the original 4). That way it's still accessible and reliable, although more effort is needed to maintain the production line.

    Yes, them dropping an egg is a perfect approach like how the turtles do.

    Maybe also add a sniffer flower useful for something other than dye, like a lot of the community has been requesting?
