Request to Enable Username Customization in Bedrock Edition

Dear Minecraft Support Team, I’m writing to ask whether the Minecraft Bedrock username system could be updated to allow name changes from the launcher, similar to how it works in the Java Edition. Currently, the Bedrock Edition usernames are tied to Xbox Gamertags, which limits customization. Having the ability to set our profile names directly within Minecraft would give players much more flexibility in personalizing their identity in the game. Additionally, extending the username character limit to match Java Edition would be a welcome change, making it easier for players to have consistent names across both versions. I would love to know if this is something Minecraft is considering, and whether there are plans to improve username customization in the future. Thanks for your time!
