Wonders of the World

I would like to see rare, highly unique structural spawns in minecraft. The frequency of occurance should be quite low, and drawn from a large pool of possible structures. This would generate great excitement through exploration for players. Imagine the thrill of coming across a volcano complete with magma filled caldera and lava channels flowing down the slopes. Or an old, ruined castle with great halls and fallen towers. A giant waterfall. A village built into the braches a world-tree. A colossal statue carved into the cliffs. A huge pyramid. A massive villager city spanning dozens of chunks. A great dam with a lake behind it. And so on; again, the odds of such a spawn should be small and the pool of possibilities large such that when it does happen, you excitedly call your friends to play and share in what you've found.
