cat- and dog baskets

ever tamed a cat or dog and had it sit on the same carpet for the rest of its life?

I think we should be able to assign a pet its own sleeping basket. they could be crafted from carpet and wood and placed down like any other block. Our pets could sleep in them any time of the day and wander around it in a 64 block radius, adding life to our homes instead of having the same dog sit in the same spot all the time.

to assign the basket, any non- seated cat or dog with a basket in eyesight can claim it, much like a villager claiming a bed. By right-clicking, the player can switch between following, seated and wandering (wandering could be indicated by a little jump or something)

this would also be the perfect opportunity to add different actions they can perform like cats scratching theyr claws on wool/ carpets or wooden surfaces, Dogs picking up sticks and carrying them around and both of them digging in Mud or dirt for no good reason. Let them have theyr own head, like they do irl.
