Personally, I believe that there are numerous concepts that have the potential to improve redstone; some of which are cliche, but still viable. For instance, let’s rethink over ideas for wireless redstone, and vertical redstone. For wireless redstone, I think that transceivers should be able to be crafted, and when placed able to be toggled between transmit, and receive. Though, to balance this idea out, the transceiver should have one obscure item, that still makes sense, within its crafting recipe. Now, onto vertical redstone. To balance the again overpowered concept of vertical redstone, I think that in order to be able to craft the wires that can be placed on walls, you initially need a slime ball, which are alone annoying to get; on the other hand with the slime ball factor, I think that the “sticky” redstone should also have loss of conductivity due to the resistant properties of the slime. What I mean by this, is that the redstone signal depletes twice as fast as normal redstone wires do, both factors playing a role into balancing vertical redstone. So in summary, I think that both vertical redstone along with wireless redstone are still viable options for new, and unique abilities to be accessed with redstone. Also, these new features would fit right in with the experimental changes that are currently occurring with redstone on Java edition.
