    That would reduce Mojang profits and the amount of troll accounts would be truly hard to handle

    In theory, this would be a good opportunity for people to check out a server before they make any significant changes.

    In practice, this is simply not a good idea. The one issue with it is how easy it makes ban evading. Got banned from a server? Sign in without using your main account, find your base again, and pick up where you left off.
