Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Functionality for calcite

Hello, I had an idea when I looked into real world uses for calcite. Calcite is used in fertilizer in farming to help with the growth of crops. What if, when a player placed calcite under a farm block, that farm block then is "fertilized" and the crops grow faster. And possibly, as a perk, less poisonous potatoes. Or, if you want, turn it into a crafting recipe of some sort to spread over the farm land and crops. Personally, I think just adding the block under a farm would be good enough. That would make searching for geodes a little more of a want than just the occasional find for shards. I know there is bone meal, but that is more instant. This would be something similer to what bees do. Bees pollinate the crops to help them grow faster, so the calcite I think would give the same effect. Grows faster but not as fast as if you were to bone meal it. maybe cuts the crowing time of all crops in half.

    IRL, calcite is used a lot in cement. I don't think cement should be added to the game, but a construction use for calcite would be cool. 

    In like sea snails, calcium carbonate is used for their shells. It would be cool if there were like hermit crabs or something that would gain shells faster near calcite. FYI calcite is also made of calcium carbonate.

    Would it be just the farmland above the calcite, or would it be a Within X Radius so that you can space out the calcite?
