Dear Mojang Team,
I'm writing to express my frustration with the Nether's Overworld respawn function. The quirky feature of beds exploding is certainly a classic, and I wouldn't want to see that go. However, the current mechanic of respawning in the Overworld at your original spawn point after dying in the Nether can be incredibly frustrating.
Let me share something that happened earlier today that highlighted this issue. While playing with the MC Movie Addon, I found a ruined portal and thought I hit the jackpot. After entering the Nether and defeating Malgosha, I got the Staff of Dominance. Unfortunately, I ended up blowing myself up with the staff while still in the Nether. Instead of being able to quickly return to my hard-earned gear and staff, I found myself respawning far away at my original spawn point in the Overworld.
By the time I managed to swim back, all my items were gone, guarded by a huge gang of bloodthirsty piglins and hoglins. It's such a shame that I didn't just respawn at my bed beside the portal.
I kindly urge you to consider implementing a change that allows players to respawn at their beds in the Overworld. This adjustment would not only enhance the gameplay experience but would also help to retain the thrill of exploration without the constant fear of losing everything due to a simple mistake.
Thank you for your time and for all the hard work you put into making Minecraft an amazing game. I truly hope you consider this change!
Sincerely,
Oliver
