Gold and Glory: The Horde Awakening

The Gold and Glory Update is a Nether-themed expansion that deepens the role of Piglins in Minecraft, drawing inspiration from the Pillager Raids mechanic and Minecraft Legends’ Piglin Hordes. This update would bring the Nether’s conflict to the Overworld, allowing Piglins to launch Nether Raids on villages, similar to how Pillagers operate. The update would also introduce three distinct Piglin Horde factions, each tied to specific Nether biomes, echoing the structure of Minecraft Legends: • Horde of the Spore – Inhabits the Warped Forest, featuring twisted, fungal Piglins adapted to the eerie blue terrain. • Horde of the Hunt – Roams the Crimson Forest and Basalt Deltas, more aggressive and primal, harnessing Hoglins and brute strength. • Horde of the Bastion – Resides in Nether Wastes or Soul Sand Valleys, emphasizing gold, fortress-building, and heavy armor.

The G&G update would also introduce three powerful Nether Pig bosses (Horde of Hunt, Spore & Bastion), each drawing inspiration from the game (Minecraft Legends), to expand the Nether’s dangers and adventures. 

Along with new content, the G&G update would also rework the Nether’s terrain generation, opening up the dimension to feel less cramped and more expansive. Players would experience broader caverns, longer sightlines, and a greater sense of freedom while exploring making the Nether feel more like a true counterpart to the wide-open Overworld and the vast End.
