Different stone ores

I was on my 1.17.1 world and was thinking if the ores would be able to come in many stone types (ex/ andesite coal ore or granite iron ore or diorite diamond ore. If we can have the grimstone variants, I think we can do different stone variants.

  The variants could be: diorite, andesite, granite, tuff, every terracotta in the badlands biome, obsidian, and packed ice.  They wouldn't come in the creative inventory, but would come from adding that stone ore together with a block of that material in a crafting table.

  Yeah, it would be as simple as a retexture and where ores can spawn, but overall I wouldn't think of it as that hard to do. I'm sure there are mods that do this.
