Raid Captains should be optional

    I agree. Sometimes I don't feel like having to deal with Raid captains, but still want to find all the chests and secrets on a level. It's a bit like we get punished for having completed a mission already.

    But if you want a way to defeat them quickly, get a torment quiver and a bow with Dynamo. Get some dynamo stacks and enough souls for the soul quiver, and you can one-shot the raid captains.

    Raid captains should honestly be removed altogether. They have a 100% chance to spawn in almost every level which forces people who won't stay completely on the main trail to deal with horrible enemies that nobody likes, such as even stronger Vindicators and Icelodgers, in any level. The banner effects are also super unbalanced. Just one mystery banner is way harder than three threat banners. I can deal with massively increased mob stats, but I am completely unable to deal with something like Night Mode. And they expect you to win a level with all six banners for the only probable chance of earning a unique item, too. (trust me, I've tried many times with 3 or 4 and haven't gotten a single unique yet.)

    And here's the biggest thing: Daily Trials exist. If you think about the mechanics of it, they're literally the exact same thing except more fun and fair, plus with actually good rewards. Raid Captains don't give you items with exceptionally high power level, and they don't offer exclusive gear either. Daily Trials give both of these things, plus a really high chance to get Unique items on clearing the level.

    I definitely agree. The raid captains are making levels like soggy swamp and lower temple impossible to complete on recommended threat level. There should be a button/switch to toggle raid captains, or at the very least lower their spawn rate. The only reason this feature is really useful is if you are on max power level and want to get some items higher than that.

    Same! I'm a casual player and I like to play a couple levels below recommended. The raid captains make it really difficult to do levels on my own now

    Just use Gong of Weakness and they will die very quick! Altough some of their modifiers is completely unfair like -60% max health, everything basicly 1-2 shots you.
