The player has a new option upon arriving to an Illager Mansion: create an uneasy alliance with Illagers in mansions, who then sell you Illager type stuff, since you travelled all that way to see them.
Trades could include harming potions, totems, books, crossbows, cursed tools and armor, fermented spider eye...nothing to help you eat, heal or build with, just dangerous and cursed items, and junk. They could maybe try to cheat or scam you on occasion and be kind of unreliable, a reminder of their treachery. Looting from the mansion or breaking blocks causes them to aggro you. There should be at least one exclusive item from trading with them (maybe maps to other villages lol). Making a trading hall should be possible, with the caveat that if they die, that's it, as they don't respawn.
This mechanic should be as simple as how wearing gold armor is enough to stop pigmen from aggroing you. Maybe you need an Ominous Banner, or have to take out the Evoker while sparing the rest and also avoiding other hostile mobs? I think getting a woodland mansion map and having taken a Tower or completing a Raid/Mansion Boss is sufficient enough to balance it.
This way the player can interact with the Illagers without having to be "evil", still enjoy the Pillager/Mansion mechanics, it doesn't abuse the Villagers, no minions to grief other players/mobs, it fleshes out these relatively new mobs/mansions lore, and it allows more options for (sort of) Pacifism (or just Raiding it like normal).
