Picking up water in different biomes should keep its color

So if i get the dark blue water from a cold biome and want to use it with that specific color to make a pool in a warm biome, it would stay that color instead of becoming light green or light blue that you'll normally see in warm biomes.

This allows for a lot more creativity when it comes to builds, and even encourages exploration and traveling. The mushroom island for example, has a purple color to its water in my minecraft texture pack, which i could really use with my purple lights to make my water appear like it is glowing purple. It would be pretty cool

Or maybe we could take it a step further and allow for a new powdery block to change the color of a water source block when you place it on it. As if the substance is fogging up the water

What are you guys' thoughts on it?

    I think this is a very good idea. Its always so annoying when the water looks bad, especially if the build is between biomes. Maybe they could even add water dyes, that way you can change the color faster.

    Exactly.It shouldn't be too hard, considering many other items have two textures, like the spawn egg for example - the base and the overlay. The bucket can be the base and the fluid contained inside it is the overlay.
