Dripstone Water Light

I noticed that when pointed dripstone is in water, it makes the water glow.  I like this a lot.  However, it only lights up the block that it is in.  To make it light up other water blocks around it, you need more dripstone in those blocks.  This lets the light travel further, but I personally don't think it is far enough.  Also, I would rather the one dripstone to light up other water sources around it and not need any dripstone in those blocks for it to light up because I am not fond of the look of a whole floor covered in dripstone.
