Gravel Variants + Bring Back Gravel Beaches!

Admittedly, this first idea wouldn't add a whole lot to the game, as all I'm proposing is a reskin of Gravel. Gravel is a block that doesn't have any variants, and an idea for one that I thought of would have a texture based on the old original Gravel texture from Alpha. Looking at the appearance, maybe it would be called Pebbles? I'd just like to see Jappa's take on it!

Another idea would be to bring back Gravel Beaches as a unique biome! I liked the way the terrain bordering the beach itself was raised by a block. It was always a cool find!
