Curved Power Rails

i want to know why there is not a feature in minecraft where you can curve redstone related rails, specifically powered rails as i am trying to make an angled road to get to my destination, and the powered rails are not curving if i place two together at an angle. if possible, can you please add it in an update, it would make my day to have that feature in minecraft.

    I am always amazed at some of the bug fixes, (and yes, I consider having regular track curve but powered rail not curve to be a bug), that make it into patches and updates, when something like this probably would take very little effort,(compared to many other changes).

    Going on two years since suggested.  I can't imagine the amount of time that could be saved by having narrower diagonal tunnels and supporting elevated walkways, instead of what is required to accommodate powered rail that can't curve.

    I'd appreciate this too. I'd like powered rails (and detector rails) to have the exact same curve behavior as regular rails. . .I have a rail/cart following a circular pattern for a UFO build. By using Redstone lamps and detector rails, the lamps light as the cart passes, making flashing lights circle the ship - but this can't be completed properly without curved powered rails and detector rails.
