Hunger in peaceful mode

This could be an option in the worldmaking/game menu. If you have peaceful mode on and want to still be able to eat food you could switch this on. As usual, running and getting hurt would make your hunger bar deplete.

    I aboslutly want this!!!!

    There are so many achievements we cannot get on peaceful mode reguardless, but this is one that simply doesn't make any sense! No matter how peaceful the area, you still get hungry from running around and time going on, so why not add it? If you don't want to deal with hunger or mobs, go to creative mode, you can still gather resources and play normally.

    Peaceful mode shouldn’t get rid of mobs it should just make them not hostile and maybe less mobs

    This would be my single biggest request, too.  Peaceful mode is excellent for those of us who enjoy discovering, gathering, and managing resources without any violent elements in the game.  However, much of the experience feels a bit pointless if the hunger bar never depletes.  I agree, this would be great as an optional feature that can be toggled on and off.  I would use it right away.

    We don't want monsters that spawn at night and explode, but we still want the survival experience of having a farm and hunting 👨‍🌾

    Peaceful mode: Normal Minecraft without monsters(in the overworld only, if you go to the Nether you want trouble)

    I agree!  I would love to be hungry in peaceful mode in both Java AND Pocket edition.  It would add more effort to survival worlds!

    I really want more options in general - like choosing if you want hostile mobs to spawn, but not be hostile to the player by default (so that getting some resources doesn’t have to be so hard on peaceful) and getting hunger to deplete (with the option to enable or disable it) would absolutely be fantastic. It feels very punishing to not get basic game mechanics just because I’m afraid of monsters. (Also, just like the commentator before me, i strongly believe in the necessity to add that to both bedrock and java, unlike something like world customization that is only available for java)

    I really like exploring and building in Minecraft, but my computer an me are to slow to react to the monsters. I'm often afraid of them, so I go to the Peaceful-Mode, but the aspect of hunger is away! Please add this option, this is my hope for years! :D

    You could add this option on the gamerules menu, cause the natural regeneration and many other options also are there.

    I would love to see this added!! Even if it wasn't always on but they added a toggle switch for those who wanted to experience their game like this. Please! let's make this happen! I am making all this food and it's not really useful. It would add so much enjoyment to my game experience!

    It doesn't make sense that you don't get hungry in peaceful mode. My wife and I have talked about it and we both would like to see this in the game.

    Yes agree with this wholeheartedly! And in general more world options for peaceful or worlds in general to customize mob spawning, hunger, etc would be so nice!

    This would be a start. My husband and I were playing last night and the amount of swearing we did because of mobs killing us... We didn't want to go peaceful because we both absolutely love the farming/hunting aspect, but no hunger means no reason to farm. We also kind of wish that peaceful still had hostile spawns, but make them more like neutral or passive where you can still get drops from them, but unless you attack them, they won't attack you. Honestly, there needs to be an entire way to customize game rules and the level of difficulty with the ability to still get achievements. At least more options. Other survival games have a way more in-depth options.

    I think it should be customizable similar to the general settings. Just like there is peaceful, easy, hard for the general difficulty you should be able to change the hunger to match. but the rule is for achievements it must be at or above difficulty of mobs. if you have peaceful mobs you can have peaceful (no) hunger or anything higher depending on how much food you want consumed. if you have easy mobs you must have easy or harder hunger to get achievements, or can use peaceful hunger for no achievements. then its easy (i think?) to transfer the settings as the hunger just needs to be separated from the difficulty command, no new hunger styles created for peaceful mode as it can just be set to easy (or hard for those of us who make massive farms and really want to experience survival). I choose to play peaceful so my redstone and auto builds dont blow up, but then i have chests of bread just sitting there... waiting... it would be nice to be build these things with a purpose rather then for the rare swamp adventures or just because I can lol

    Came here to suggest this. Without monsters to fight, farming and food crafting is a huge part of what Minecraft offers. But without any incentive to eat, What's the point?

    Please oh my god I can't play normal because I can't be with monsters in the world for MANY reasons but will continue to remain unsaid for legal reasons. (jk lol but seriously I'm not allowed to play with mobs in the world) and I'm ALWAYS trying to get peacefully hungry mods, but none of them work and/or are up to date. so please, I'm begging you, add this in. And, if some people don't want this, you can just a button for peaceful that says "Turn on Hunger". Please, prove to us all that you do listen to our suggestions, and do this Please!!! This would make Minecraft SO MUCH BETTER! I'm begging you. Thanks for your time! Please add this idea in, I want to have fun with Minecraft, but without being blow up by a creeper. Thank you, have a good rest of your day.

    if i could vote 10000000000000000000000 more times, i wouldnt even install an auto clicker, i would do it ALL by hand; thats how much i want this! so please, please, PLEASEEEEEEEE Make us happy and add this in! thank you!

    Yes please make peaceful survival real survival by adding hunger.
    And actually I feel neutral mobs that are attacked should still defend themselves, like lama's and polar bears.
    Peaceful as a NO horror / no monsters version. But where you still actually have to grow crops and eat to survive, and can't just attack everything and anything with no repercussions.

    Also it would be cool if you did not need blazerods for brewing or there was a peaceful way to farm them.

    I agree wholeheartedly with the addition of hunger in peaceful mode. I do agree that some people may not want it, but I think it could be added in the toggle switch area making both parties happy!! Being able to toggle it on for those who want to have some sort of challenge while avoiding the hostile mobs would give us some sort of purpose to the game as well. I don't want all challenges turned off but hunger is part of every day living. And to be able to give purpose to my farms would enhance my game play dramatically!
    I know there are many many smart Mojang employees and I know enhancing game play is important to you all! Please help the people who are posting here for a simple way to toggle it on and off be possible. I know you are more than capable of making our dreams come true. 🥳
