The way this block works is after a rotational time period, this block will erupt sending lava, water, or steam into the air depending on the location of the block. After a short amount of time, it will stop erupting and wait for its next rotation to erupt again. Standing directly on the block will cause the player to be shot up really high in the air (which can be useful for elytra users to lift off AND to maintain or recover height while they are already airborne!). Charateristics of the block:
- Erupts continuously when a Magma Block is placed beneath it.
- Will never erupt if a Packed Ice Block is placed beneath it (for more decorative purposes. Also if you are good with redstone, you could create an on and off switch for the geyser at this point 😊)
- Visually shoots out a narrow stream of lava, water, or steam 10 blocks into the air depending on whether the block is submerged in lava, water, or in neither of the 2 respectively.
- If the geyser is in lava, players and mobs within a 7 block radius of the geyser take fire damage when it erupts. In water nearby endermen take water damage.
- Spawns most commonly in the Nether Basalt Delta biome beneath lava. Rarely spawns in the overworld.
- Can lift players and mobs 10 blocks into the air, 20 if the player is using an elytra
