Deep Dark Goo/or just Tar

In reality tar is made by degassing slate.Now when we have deepslate deposits at the bottom of our worlds it's pretty obvious that tar (or Deep Dark Goo-sounds better for me)could be also founded there.We don't know much about Deep Dark biome but (in my opinion) something like pits of black sticky liquid will be perfect there.Deep Dark Goo (DDG)should be very flamable so single spark of fire can burn it all.If you fall into one of that pits you are probably dead if you go below the surface because you can't swim in it.If you in some way get at the very bottom and survive you will have chance to get items related with archeology.There is many posibilities. I hope that Mojang team will come up with even more ideas.
