The basic idea of this idea is that bonemeal could be used to grow more things not neccesarily everything but to make everything similar between bedrock edition and java edition being that in bedrock edition sugar cane is able to be grown using bonemeal but not in java edition. Also maybe to add it so that cactus and vines also can grow using bonemeal, but if not the stuff that cant be grown using bonemeal in ANY version of minecraft, atleast add the ability to grow sugarcane with bonemeal in java edition.
