I present to you - Minecraft: The Land Ahoy Update
It would add large ships and good pirates that are just simply called pirates, and bad undead pirates called plunders.
You could trade with the good pirates with gold, lapis, emeralds, and such for good items.
And if you kill a plunderer they have a chance of dropping their pirate hat. Which can be combined with the players helmet to give armor points. This would simply replace the helmet model with that of a pirate hat.
The leader of the good pirates would be a captain lady, and the plunderer ships have a very small chance of having a mini boss that you can fight to get a special cutlass sword thing.
You could also find maps sometimes in the ships that would lead you to different biomes such as a jungle and on extremely rare occasion a mushroom isle biome.
Big ships that you can make (and drive) would also be added. They would take a long time and lots of materials but eventually you could become a pirate yourself. And this would give you an achievement called seafarer. Which would allow you to have the option of turning your normal armor model into a more piratey outfit.
You could also find small islands in the middle of the ocean that would have abandoned huts, leftover from a pirate stranded long ago. But watch out as they could still as well be there on the island.
When fishing a new catchable item would be added - The "Old Bottle" when smashed onto to ground out would pop all sorts of treasures including a treasure map!
