customizable armor and tools

i was thinking like have a specal crafting station where you can combine things together like lets say you have a netherite sword and you want it to look cooler and dont have the EXP to enchant and you have an emerald take both the sword and the emerald to the table and combine them together to get a natural looting 1  and a greenish texture to the sword and make it to where all weapons and armor can be combined AKA customizable like a iron tipped diamond sword or a diamond tipped iron sword you know cool and awesome stuff like that
