Dear Devs,
I've been playing Minecraft since 2012, and to be clear, I love it. I just feel that all of these new updates come so fast and change the game so drastically, it doesn't feel like the Minecraft we know and love. The Nether update was fine as it only changed a small part of the game; but the Caves and Cliffs make the game feel modded.
The old feel of mining for diamonds never got old, and changing the ore textures really is a Bad idea! The small cave systems felt nice, and the new huge games and new blocks (Deepslate and Amethyst geodes), make the game feel like a huge mod that's fun when you know you can go back to the original, but as the main game it feels wrong.
Despite the feature only being announced, I would seriously suggest scrapping the Archeology mechanic. But, then again, I do Really Like the mountains, which provide a not-to-drastic change to the over world.
In conclusion, I really appreciate all of the wonderful work you guys at Mojang do, but I would seriously suggest removing some of the larger changes and subtle but character removing changes that the new caves would bring (i.e the New textures and dripstone caverns). Thank you so much for reading and thank you for your Work on Minecraft.
