villagers are in many ways unlike real humans. for one thing, they require you to get married. to change that fact and a few others, I'll tell you my ideas. so, this would still require you, but it's more natural. bouquets are an item you get by crafting together 3 paper, 3 flower of the same type, and 3 dye those flowers produce. (poppy bouquet, cornflower bouquet, ect.) then, you get a bouquet. place it in a flower pot and then villagers in a 16 block radius will naturally marry. now, you're probably wondering why I've been saying 'marry' instead of 'breed'. well, you never say 'breeding humans', so it makes more sense. (though, you never say 'marrying humans either) another reason I've been saying it is another feature. currently, you can have a teenager marry his/her grand parent. NO SENSE. so you once two villagers get married, the have a weeding ring of any dye color. they're rings are always the same color. if you redye one villager, it's mate's ring will change too. also, only THEY should be able to have kids. only one of them can actually have kids because they're a female.
