Hardcore should be less punishing

Hardcore i s, well, supposed to be hard. But having to delete your world is just too extreme. I think that when you die, you'll be banned for a week or whatever, when you respawn your items can never ever be got back because they despawn instantly, and you'll respawn in a random location, regardless of bed/world spawn.

    That would defeat the purpose of the mode, which was defined by that.
