Breaking glass will give you glass shards

Breaking glass without silk touch just breaks the block and doesn't drop anything. Although it would be cooler if it did. What if upon breaking glass (with no silk touch) it will drop glass shards. Using glass shards you can make shattered glass. It will give you damage 1 heart/3 aec since it's kind of broken glass. You can also see that the glass is broken because shattered glass will have cracks all over it. So even if a mob steps on it ,the mob will get damaged. Hope you like this idea.
