Hey everyone! Just wanted to tell my take on the “is vanilla feeling too modded?” Discussion. I feel like this could become an actual problem.
What in my opinion differentiates vanilla from all the modded versions, is the fact that this is the one most players are usually playing in - it’s the source material for all mods, the default Minecraft.
There’s something unique about it.
And I’m not just saying this because of some nostalgic feeling of sorts, most features in vanilla have their own way of being charming. I tried to understand, for a while, why some updates felt like mods and others didn’t - weren’t they all new features for the game? So here goes:
I feel like everything in vanilla Minecraft, or that feels like it, has this same feature: they all are simple at first glance. Or so you’d think, until you dive deeper into how the block/mob/item works and see there are more things to explore than there previously seemed to be. This is the magic of vanilla to me.
The way this game does allow you to go at your own pace, do your own things, is perfect with it. You don’t really need to explore or do what you don’t want to in vanilla, everything has their core functions that if wanted can be reached through further and become more and more complex, it’s all up to the player’s playstyle. I would really like if this was never lost. Please devs, if you’re reading this and agree with what was said, keep it in mind.
Thank you for reading, this is all!
