It not just Profanity. I should be able to name my villagers and farm animals with any name I want. For some reason I cant even give a villager a real world name if it close to a public figures name or a celebrity's name. News flash Microsoft, multiple people can have the exact same name. In fact my real name match a comic book characters no hero name down to the exact same middle name so I cant even name a villager after myself. Just stupid.

Minecraft isn't a kid's game, there are adults who play and enjoy this game. I don't see the problem if I want to build a Bar and name potions after drinks. It's so invigorating not being able to give a potion a clever name because Minecraft thinks the word tequila is profane. I understand people can be immature and post gross stuff in servers or whatever, but there should be some fairground for players of all ages. The profanity filter as an option should have already been implemented.

I tried to name an item after a private teacher I have at my university on a bedrock realm with several of my peers. The professor is very nice, but unfortunately, her name is Dr. Bish, and it was censored. Of course, everyone on the server was thinking of the same person in a non-joking manner, and all of us are of a mature age. I believe it would be highly beneficial to allow realm owners to turn the profanity setting off for their realm, or for individual users to disable it through a parental setting, similar to how you can with Java realms. Also, with naming items, the profanity filter does not take effect until AFTER you name the item, which may cause some players to unknowingly waste experience points. This happened to me when naming my item in this case, and I had to use the extra experience to rename it to something else.

This is an old post but yes please give adult accounts an option to disable it on Bedrock Realms, just like with Java. I literally own the realm and everyone on it is an adult so we really don't need the realm to filter over our conversations.

To add, we also have to use discord to talk because the chat censors pretty much everything and it even wrongly suspended one of our members. If your chat system is so bad that people have to find alternatives then that's a sign it either needs to be fixed, or there needs to be more options for everyone's experience.
