Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

New Ore in the Soulsand Valley

In the Soulsand Valley, you could find a new ore called soulstone. It will spawn in random blobs the way Quartz and Gold does. It can only be mined with a netherite picaxe, and when mined it drops a random amount of soul fragments. These will have a lot of uses.

Mirror Block - Made with one glass block and 4 soul fragments, this block will act as any normal mirror, and it can be made into mirror pains.

Soul Nether bricks - Combining soul fragments with nether bricks can make a dark brown variant of all the existing Nether brick blocks.

Vex Lantern - 6 soul fragments, 2 netherite ingots, and 1 totem of undying. This will give you your own pet vex to fight alongside you. You right click to release the vex and put it back in the lantern, it regenerates while in the lantern. If it dies you have to add 6 more fragments to the lantern to get another vex. There will also be enchantments to make your vex stronger and even let you have more than one.

Spectre Gear - Combining 8 soul fragments with 1 netherite ingot makes a Spectre ingot. Combining this with Netherite gear in a smithing table will give you Spectre gear. It’s as strong and netherite, but it has a cool function. If you attack mobs with a spectre sword/axe, a few souls will pop out of the mob and absorb into you, giving you a little health back, this can also happen when you mine ores. If you get attacked by a mob while wearing Spectre armor, a few souls will pop out of you and attack the mob.

    Here are some more ideas.

    Soul Arrows - Made with 1 arrow and 1 fragment. These arrows will do more damage than regular arrows, but will also have souls pop out and absorb into you giving you a slight health boost like with Spectre weapons. If the bow/crossbow you’re using has the flame enchantment, the soul arrows shot will inflict soul fire on the mob.

    Soul Archer Bow/Crossbow - Even though the fletching table has no functionality yet, you could make this by combining a Spectre ingot with a bow or crossbow. All arrows shot from these will do extra damage and will give you that same soul health boost, and if you enchant either of these weapons, all the arrows shot will inflict soul fire. If you were to combine the soul archer bow with soul arrows, it would give you a pretty big health boost and a big attack boost.

    Extra note: If you put fire aspect on a Spectre sword or axe, those will also inflict soul fire damage.
