Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Fix gold armor and tools

Gold things are pretty much useless in the game, because of their low attack damage, durability, and defense.  There would be no spot they would fit in, because once you get the iron pickaxe, you would be mining diamonds with it instead of gold.  The only armor you would ever craft with gold would be golden boots, for trading with piglins.  Maybe they could be fixed, so that they had as much damage and defense as diamond, but even lower durability than before.

    Other than the low attack damage and mining level of golden tools and weapons, I think it's fine. The armor is balanced because it has low stats but is required for protection from Piglin hostility. The tools are balanced because they have fast mining speed. And all golden tools/armor have really high enchantment value.

    (Gold shouldn't protect as much as Diamond because in real life Gold is very flexible and malleable. It wouldn't protect you very well if you were hit).

    Gold should just have a slight durability buff.

    Lasercraft 32 Even if the tools and armor are balanced, the sword still is useless, except for the enchantability. Maybe another way to fix gold armor would be to alloy it with copper, which would give attack speed, defense, and half the durability of iron things, but piglins would still like it and is would still be very enchantable.

    I agree. Gold armor is really hard to get, but it's stats are terrible. It's weird because gold tools are faster than diamond, making them better in some cases. If they had done the same with the sword and armor, they would be useful, but they didn't.

    Golden armor and tools are not hard to get. Piglins and Zombified Piglins drop gold armor all the time, and if it's hard mode so do regular zombies and skeletons. I get them so much, to me it's just another junk item.

    i don't think so, it should be a skippable mid tier. nerf the mining speed but increase durability in between iron and diamond. the toughness isn't very good. it can't mine iron or diamond but still can mine itself, lapis, redstone...

    I feel like if gold could combine with amethyst, it would fit well between iron and diamond, having iron stats but with golden enchantability, 1 armor toughness per armor piece, and the middle ground defense/durability. This would make a good gap between iron and diamond since amethyst is uncommon and gold can be found somewhat easily but needs iron to mine.
