Nine copper ingots make a Compressed Copper Block.
Compressed copper block is a beacon block, and is used for storage more than decoration. It can oxidize too, and can be waxed.
Six copper ingots make copper bars. Like iron bars, but copper. They have a more curvy design than iron bars.
Six copper ingots can make a copper door, and two copper ingots make a copper pressure plate.
Four iron ingots make an Iron Block. It is for decoration.
Iron blocks rust, just like Copper.
Iron stairs, iron slabs, cut iron blocks, cut iron stairs, and cut iron slabs in all oxidation states can be obtained.

The iron door, iron pressure plate, cauldron, etc. would oxidize, though this would not impede the function so much as the aesthetic (texture and sound). Wax takes care of it.
Four gold ingots make a Gold Block. It is for decoration.
Gold does not rust, as it is a noble metal.
Gold stairs, gold slabs, cut gold blocks, cut gold stairs, and cut gold slabs can be crafted.

Three gold ingots can make a gold rod. This would serve the same aesthetic as the iron chain or the copper lightning rod. The top of a gold rod has a large cube, similar to the end of an End Rod.
